DRAFT v0 · WINDROSE INSTITUTE

What Windrose Institute is

Windrose Institute is a behavioural simulation tool. It reports the direction and ranking of your options and the hypotheses worth testing. It does not report calibrated absolute outcomes and is not a substitute for real-world testing. Every result carries an evidence label stating its scope.

Acceptable use

Use it for your own ideas and research. Do not submit unlawful content, personal data of others without a basis, or attempts to reverse-engineer or overload the service. One free simulation is offered; paid plans are billed as described on the pricing page.

What we promise, and what we don't

We promise the method and its limits as stated on the Science page. We do not promise that a simulated direction will hold in the real world; that is what your own testing is for. The service is provided on an as-is basis during this early period, with no warranty of fitness for a particular decision.

Billing

Payments are processed by Paddle as merchant of record, which handles VAT globally. Plans are monthly with no lock-in; credit packs never expire. You can cancel at any time and keep access to your saved runs under the terms of your plan.

What we collect

The idea and variants you submit, the audience you select, the results we generate, and, if you create an account or join the waitlist, your email. We keep the minimum needed to run the service and build your own memory across runs.

How we use it

To run your simulations and show your history. Inference runs on our own hardware, not a third-party API. Your inputs are not used as model training data.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies, which is why you will not see a cookie-consent banner, there is nothing to consent to. For basic traffic figures we use privacy-first, cookieless analytics: it counts page views in aggregate without storing cookies, without building a profile of you, and without sharing data with advertisers. Our fonts are served from our own domain, not a third-party CDN, so loading a page does not hand your IP address to another company. If we ever add something that genuinely requires consent, we will ask first, before it runs.

Double opt-in for the waitlist

Joining the waitlist sends a confirmation email; your address is only stored once you confirm. You can unsubscribe at any time from any message, and that removes you from the list.

Deletion and your rights

You can request deletion of your inputs, results and email at any time. Erasure follows the protocol on the Trust page: the content is removed and a minimal tombstone records that it was deleted, so deletion is provable. You have the usual rights of access, correction and portability; write to hello@windrose.institute.
